It’s finally here!

Published 01/02/2010

And what a way to start … with the shredder that is Jake Watt. We hit up Guildford after Jake finished work to see what we could find. There was a rail down some stairs that would have made for an awesome photo, but it was impossible to skate. As soon as Jake pushed he would have to ollie like straight away. Pretty much a deck and half long run up, so we left that to see what else there was that was skateable. We then went to this 9 set and Jake got to work sessioning while I set up for a photo. Most of the first angles I tried were pretty whack, but then I thought about getting high and wide to see if it would result in something different to your usual low/eye height photo which I think worked, and it showed how long the set actually is too. He then busted a couple of flips down it and this is one of the photos that came from it :). We then cruised over to the other side of the river for Jake to skate some ledges, but after about half an hour of getting worked, he ended up snapping his board which sucked a bit. Hopefully as soon as he gets his board set up we can shoot some more and get some dope photos, so keep checking back as this site will hopefully be updated daily! And tell all your friends.
